Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce Donate $26 Million to 26 Charities Before Their Wedding
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have donated $26 million to 26 charities across the United States this week, Swift's representative confirmed to NBC News, with the gifts timed to the couple's rumored wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden.
The donations span a wide range of causes: food insecurity, children's hospitals, pediatric cancer care, music education programs, after-school opportunities for underserved youth, childhood literacy, first responder support and animal welfare. The gifts also include contributions to community organizations in cities with personal ties to the couple, among them New York, Kansas City and Nashville.
One Charity Speaks Out
The Store, a Nashville-area nonprofit co-founded by country singer Brad Paisley and actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley that provides free groceries to families in need across Middle Tennessee, was among the first to publicly acknowledge the gift. The organization posted a thank-you on Instagram on July 2. "Thank you, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce," the post read. "Your generosity is providing food and hope to families in need." The caption added that the donation "will help more families across Middle Tennessee access fresh, healthy food with dignity and choice."
The full list of recipient organizations has not been publicly released.
The Wedding Timeline
The donations come as activity around Madison Square Garden has accelerated ahead of the couple's rumored July 3 celebration. A rehearsal dinner for roughly 100 guests was scheduled for Thursday evening at the Infosys Theater inside the arena, with the main celebration set for Friday at 5:30 p.m. for up to 1,000 guests, according to an internal NYPD planning memo confirmed by NBC News and the New York Times.
Large white tents and metal barricades have gone up around the exterior of MSG. Workers have been photographed unloading trucks. One crew member was spotted wearing a shirt from one of Swift's past tours. Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly confirmed any details of the event, and their representatives have declined comment.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani has now referenced the wedding at multiple public appearances. At a heat advisory press conference Wednesday, he advised residents to stay indoors, adding: "Especially if you're celebrating the World Cup, or the Fourth of July, or renting out MSG to get married. Hypothetically."
A Pattern of Giving
The $26 million donation is consistent with the charitable records both stars have built individually. Swift has donated millions to food banks, education causes and disaster relief throughout her career. Kelce has been active in youth education initiatives through his Eighty-Five and a Dream Foundation. The scale of this week's giving, timed to what would be one of the most high-profile personal events of their lives, reflects a deliberate choice to pair the private celebration with public generosity.
George Kittle, who confirmed he is wearing a blue suit to the event, was among the guests spotted traveling to New York this week. He and his wife Claire were stranded on the tarmac in Nashville for several hours Wednesday before their flight was rescheduled.
