McDonald's Shamrock Shake Returns Today

McDonald's is bringing back the Shamrock Shake on Tuesday, February 17. The minty green milkshake that shows up every year for St. Patrick's Day.

St. Patrick's Day is March 17. Fans get a full month to drink these before McDonald's pulls them again.

The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry is back too on the same day with the same limited time deal. It's the regular Oreo McFlurry with minty Shamrock syrup. It showed up in 2020 for the Shamrock Shake's 50th anniversary and apparently people liked it.

The small Shamrock Shake has 500 calories. The medium has 540. The large has 800.

Eight hundred calories for a large. That’s almost half your daily calories in minty green ice cream.

A medium vanilla shake from McDonald's has 570 calories. A medium chocolate shake has 650. So, the Shamrock Shake isn't wildly different. But that large size is brutal.

The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry has 460 calories for a regular size.

How Long You've Got

McDonald's hasn't said when they're pulling the Shamrock Shake, but it's seasonal. It shows up around St. Patrick's Day and leaves shortly after. It could be right after March 17, or it could be a few days later. They don't announce an end date. You just show up one day and it's gone.
