Dippin’ Dots Are Coming to Grocery Stores. Here’s Where You’ll Find Them

For years, Dippin’ Dots were tied to family outings. We’d find them at stadiums, amusement parks, or the occasional mall kiosk, but not in our weekly grocery runs.

But now, that’s changing. The brand is finally expanding, bringing its signature beaded ice cream into retail freezers across the country.

This spring, multipacks will be introduced to nationwide grocery stores, with major retailers like Walmart to be one of the first to carry them. 

More chains are expected to follow as distribution expands.

This isn’t a limited release, either. It’s a broader push into everyday grocery stores, which means we’re likely to start seeing them in standard freezer aisles, rather than specialty sections.

Instead of single cups sold at kiosks, the grocery version will come in multi-pack boxes with individual servings.  Each cup will be portioned so that it can be stored easily and used when we want it without any special handling.

Early Dippin Dots flavors in grocery stores will include familiar flavors like:

• Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

• Brownie Batter

These have been consistent favorites over time, which makes the transition into grocery stores easy as pie.

Why Weren’t Dippin Dots In Stores Before?

The answer comes down to storage. Dippin’ Dots require extremely low temperatures, far below what most grocery freezers are designed to handle. 

That limitation kept them tied to controlled environments like kiosks and specialty freezers for decades. What’s changed is the way the product is packaged and distributed. 

The company has adapted its process so that the ice cream can move through standard retail systems without losing its texture. That’s what made this rollout possible.

This isn’t just about adding another ice cream option to the freezer aisle. It’s about access.
