Starbucks Red Cup Day 2025: Free Cup, Holiday Drinks, and What to Expect

Starbucks

The holidays have officially arrived at Starbucks.

This Thursday, Nov. 13th, we can celebrate Starbucks Red Cup Day 2025 by ordering a handcrafted holiday beverage at participating stores and receiving a reusable red cup while supplies last.

It’s one of the most anticipated traditions of the year, and a small way for us to welcome the magic of the season.

What the Free Cup Deal Includes

When you order any size holiday or fall drink – hot, iced, or blended – you’ll receive a free 16-ounce Starbucks reusable red cup free with your drink of choice.

You can stop by in person, use the drive-thru, place an order through the Starbucks app, or request delivery through DoorDash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats.

The list of qualifying drinks is long. But, it includes:

  • Pumpkin Spice Latte

  • Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew

  • White Hot Chocolate

  • Caramel Brulee Latte

  • Sugar Cookie Latte

  • Peppermint Mocha

  • Gingerbread Chai

  • Peppermint Hot Chocolate

The deal also includes a range of fall and holiday cold foams. Sadly, the Starbucks Christmas Blend and Starbucks Reserve Christmas brewed coffee aren’t included in this promotion.

Inside the 2025 Cup Design

The 2025 red cup is made with 95% recycled material, and this year’s artwork was hand-drawn by Starbucks designer Yvonne Chan.

It’s inspired by the feeling we get when we step into a warm Starbucks on a cold winter’s day. The sketch style is meant to feel personal and hand-crafted, like something drawn by a friend.

How to Bring the Cup Back for More

Starbucks

If you bring your clean reusable red cup back on your next visit, or any reusable cup, you’ll receive a 10-cent discount on your drink.

And, if you’re a Starbucks Rewards member, you’ll earn double stars on your entire order when you bring your reusable cup. It’s a small incentive that gives the cup more purpose beyond one day of excitement.

They’ve also added more baristas to their stores for Starbucks’ holiday drink promotion in 2025, hoping to offer the warm, attentive Green Apron Service we look forward to each year.

A Note on Timing and Availability

Starbucks' free cup on Nov. 13th tends to draw big crowds and, even though 2025 will have more cups than ever, quantities and participation will still vary by store. So, it’s best to arrive as early as you can on the day.

A Small Holiday Moment to Look Forward To

There’s something joyful about the first red cup of the season. It’s simple, familiar, and a little bit nostalgic.

Whether you keep yours for morning coffees at home or bring it back for a few extra stars, it’s a nice tradition that marks the start of the holidays.

And, since the Starbucks holiday menu of 2025 is already in full swing, Red Cup Day is a nice, cozy way to ease into the magic of the season ahead.
