Influencer Reveals Husband's Double Life to 4M Followers, Says "I Do Not Know This Person"
Nursing influencer Jen Hamilton is opening up about the real reason her 13-year marriage to husband Brian Hamilton ended, alleging he was living a secret "double life" while she worked as a labor and delivery nurse.
Hamilton first announced the couple's split in June, describing it in an emotional Instagram video as the end of "15 years of shared history, love and friendship." This week, she returned to social media to share what she called the "nitty-gritty details" behind the breakup, saying she's done protecting her ex-husband's image.
"My kids know. Everybody in my orbit knows. So I'm just going to give you the details so it can give you enough information to be like, 'OK, I get it,'" Hamilton said in an update posted Sunday, July 26. "If you don't want me to talk about this stuff, I don't know, maybe don't do it. Or, don't do it while you're married to like a super public person who talks about their pubes on the internet."
Alleging a "Double Life"
Hamilton described discovering that her husband had been living what she characterized as a secret second relationship. "While I was at the hospital, taking care of people, he found the time to have a whole other life," she said. "As someone who's never even passionately kissed anyone else in my entire life, this whole thing has been a betrayal I never saw coming."
According to Hamilton, her husband had withdrawn physically and emotionally from their marriage in the years leading up to the split, while allegedly maintaining an affectionate relationship with another woman that he kept hidden from her. Hamilton said discovering the truth left her reeling. "I do not know this person," she said of her estranged husband.
She also addressed speculation that had circulated online about the reason for their split. "For the people making videos saying he's gay, God, I wish, man," she said.

Hamilton has described going through the end of her marriage as feeling like navigating a kind of grief. She said she's chosen to speak candidly about the situation after years of presenting a curated version of her relationship online, telling followers she's no longer interested in serving as her ex-husband's "PR manager."
