If you've ever used the Flo app to keep track of your period or pregnancy, you might want to take a moment to check your old account. A $59.5 million settlement involving the popular health-tracking app could mean money for millions of former and current users.

But there's a catch. The deadline to request a payment is October 15, 2026, so there's not much time left. Here's how to find out whether you qualify and what you need to do before the window closes.

Why Is Flo Paying Millions to Its Users?

Period-tracking apps track some pretty personal information. We use them to record details about our bodies that we might not even share with our closest friends. That's why a lawsuit involving Flo raised serious privacy concerns. The case began in 2021, when people accused Flo and several technology companies of improperly collecting or sharing sensitive information entered into the app.

The allegations involved data about menstruation and pregnancy that users thought would remain private. Flo, Google, and analytics company Flurry have since agreed to settlements totaling $59.5 million. All three deny wrongdoing.

The money will be available to eligible users if the court gives the agreements its final approval.

Who Qualifies for the Flo App Settlement?

You don't necessarily have to be using Flo today to qualify. According to the official settlement website, the Flo period tracker settlement covers people who meet these conditions:

  • Lived in the United States during the qualifying period

  • Used the Flo app between November 1, 2016, and February 28, 2019

  • Entered menstruation or pregnancy information into the app during that time

If that sounds familiar, you may be able to submit a claim.

There's also a separate California group for qualifying users who lived in and used the app in that state during the same period.

How Much Money Could You Receive?

That's the question everyone wants answered, but there's no confirmed payment amount yet. The Flo app settlement creates a combined $59.5 million fund, although some of that money will cover court-approved legal fees and administrative expenses. What's left will be divided among people who submit valid claims.

The amount each person receives will depend on how many eligible claims are approved. Under the proposed distribution plan, qualifying California users will receive twice the payment allocated to other eligible users. So, while we know the total settlement amount, we won't know what individual checks will look like until the claims process is further along.

How to Submit Your Flo Settlement Claim

Fortunately, the process is straightforward. You can complete your Flo settlement claim through the official claim form. You'll need to provide your:

  • Contact information

  • Email address associated with your Flo account

  • Confirmation that you meet the eligibility requirements

Claims can be submitted online or mailed to the settlement administrator.

And don't forget the date. The Flo settlement deadline is October 15, 2026. Online forms must be submitted by 11:59 pm Pacific Time, while mailed forms must be postmarked by October 15th. There's no fee to submit a claim.

What Happens After October 15th?

Once the filing window closes, the next major date is October 29, 2026. That's when a federal court in California is scheduled to hold a hearing to decide whether the settlements will receive final approval.

Payments won't necessarily arrive right after that hearing, either. The administrator will still need to process valid claims, and any appeals could delay distribution.

There's also a separate development involving Meta, Facebook's parent company. A jury found Meta liable in August 2025 in connection with the privacy allegations. That verdict is separate from the Flo, Google, and Flurry settlements. According to a settlement administrator, accepting money from the current agreements won't affect an eligible person's rights regarding the Meta verdict.

Don't Let the Filing Window Slip By

If you used Flo several years ago, it's worth checking to see if you're covered before the deadline passes. You can find the eligibility details, claim form, and updates on the settlement website.

And, if you qualify, don't put it off until the last minute. October 15 is almost here, and missing the deadline could mean missing your chance to receive a payment.
