‘Disney Adult’ Mom Gives Birth While Watching Magic Kingdom Fireworks

Jacqueline Skelton was already a self-described Disney adult before December 2025. She visits the parks multiple times a week. Most of her home décor has a Disney theme. She and her family plan an annual Christmas trip to Walt Disney World.

So when she was induced to deliver her second baby at AdventHealth in Orlando — a hospital that sits close enough to Magic Kingdom that certain maternity rooms have a direct view of Cinderella Castle — and the Happily Ever After fireworks show started outside her window, she knew exactly what she was looking at.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, is that the fireworks?'" Skelton recalled.

Her husband had just finished stringing Christmas lights around the room when they both noticed colorful flashes coming through the blinds. They pulled them open. For the next 20 minutes, while Jacqueline had contractions, the two of them watched Magic Kingdom's nightly fireworks spectacular light up the December sky.

"We got to watch fireworks for 20 minutes while I was having contractions!" she said.

She recently posted a video of the moment on Instagram and the response has been enormous — comments flooding in from people across the country asking which hospital it was and how to book a room with that view for their own deliveries. The answer is both encouraging and slightly deflating: AdventHealth is the official healthcare provider of Walt Disney World Resort, and yes, some rooms in the specialized maternity ward do have a view of the fireworks — but they cannot be requested or reserved. You get what you get.

Peak Disney Adult

Skelton owns the label fully. "I know that there's so much cringe behind that but I do!" she said, laughing at herself.

She insists her whole house doesn't have a Disney theme — it's just that most of the home décor happens to be Disney-inspired. And the family doesn't only go to the parks — they just go multiple times a week and organize their Christmas around an annual trip.

Her son, now about eight months old, is growing up in this household and apparently absorbing the atmosphere. She describes him as developing an adorable personality that fits right in.

The baby was born during the fireworks. He was practically welcomed into the world by Cinderella Castle.

The Hospital Behind the Magic

AdventHealth's proximity to Walt Disney World is no accident. The hospital's partnership with Disney makes it the go-to healthcare provider for the resort's 75,000 cast members and millions of annual visitors — and it means the facility sits close enough to Magic Kingdom that the nightly fireworks are visible from certain rooms on the right side of the building.

The Happily Ever After show runs almost every evening and lasts roughly 20 minutes, featuring fireworks, projection mapping on Cinderella Castle, and a soundtrack built around Disney film music. It is, objectively, a solid show to watch during labor. Skelton would know.

Whether her son grows up to appreciate the circumstances of his arrival is a question for future years. What's certain is that his mother already has the Instagram video to show him whenever he's ready.
