Brach's Made a Candy Corn Perfume Just in Time for Halloween
Candy corn has escaped the candy bowl. Just in time for Halloween, Brach's has turned its famous orange, yellow, and white treat into something we can wear.
The limited-edition Brach's Candy Corn perfume is the company's first fragrance, and it promises to smell a whole lot sweeter than the fake cobwebs and plastic pumpkins currently taking over our houses.
Whether we love candy corn or quietly leave it behind in the Halloween bowl every year, we have to give Brach's credit.

Brach's Made Its First-Ever Perfume
The fragrance has the wonderfully dramatic name, Ode to Candy Corn. And Brach's didn't just slap its name on a bottle of vanilla perfume.
The eau de parfum was designed around the flavors of the classic candy, with three fragrance notes:
Creamy vanilla
Spun sugar
Honey
Together, they're meant to capture the experience of eating candy corn in fragrance form. And, if we temporarily forget we're talking about candy corn perfume, that's a pretty dreamy combination. Vanilla, warm honey, and spun sugar sound right at home during sweater weather.
Even the Bottle Is Ready for Halloween
Brach's committed to the theme. The perfume itself comes in a warm golden-orange shade, topped with a bright orange cap and packaged in the familiar colors of Brach's Candy Corn.
The 1.7-ounce bottle is priced at $22, so this isn't just a little novelty vial meant to sit on the shelf looking cute. Brach's scheduled two limited drops: September 22nd and October 1st.
Both were offered through CandyCornSeason.com, while supplies lasted.
Candy Corn Fans Take Their Season Seriously
Brach's had good reason to bet on candy corn devotion. According to sales data included in the company's announcement, its 11-ounce bag of classic candy corn was the No. 1 fall confection item in its category.
And plenty of us aren't waiting for Halloween to buy it. Brach's said 17% of seasonal sales happen before Labor Day, and more than half are completed before October.
So, somewhere out there, people are buying candy corn while the rest of us still have beach towels drying on the porch. Those are probably the people this perfume was made for.
Fall Has a New Signature Scent
Pumpkin spice has been allowed to smell like fall for years. It has taken over our candles, coffee, hand soap, baked goods, and just about every other object capable of holding cinnamon.
Candy corn has been patiently waiting for its turn. Now, it has its own fall perfume, and the whole thing is sweeter and dreamier than we might have expected.
We still don't have to agree on whether candy corn belongs in the Halloween candy bowl. But, for the people firmly on Team Candy Corn, eating it is no longer the only way to celebrate the season. This Halloween, we can wear it, too.
