If you enjoyed an occasional late-night drive-thru run in the early 2000s, then the latest Taco Bell menu update will feel like a time machine.

The chain is rolling out a Taco Bell Y2K Menu as part of its “Decades Menu” series, and it’s packed with nostalgic throwbacks that we’ve been craving for years.

Starting September 9, you’ll be able to relive the glory days of Chili Cheese Burritos, 7-Layer Burritos, and even the Caramel Apple Empanada.

So, what’s on this new Taco Bell Decades Menu, and how long will it stick around? Here’s everything we need to know.

The Y2K theme takes center stage this time, and Taco Bell is leaning into the early-aughts nostalgia. Some of the items returning to the Taco Bell Nostalgia Menu include:

  • Double Decker Taco: A crunchy taco wrapped in a soft tortilla with beans, beef, lettuce, and cheese. Yum.

  • 7-Layer Burrito: A vegetarian fan-favorite with rice, beans, guac, sour cream, tomatoes, cheese, and lettuce.

  • Chili Cheese Burrito: A cult classic stuffed with hearty chili and cheddar.

  • Caramel Apple Empanada: A sweet, hand-held dessert with apple pieces and gooey caramel filling.

Alongside the returning stars, Taco Bell is adding a “Discovery Luxe Box” for $9, which bundles a Crunchwrap Supreme, two Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos, nachos, and a drink.

It’s basically a greatest-hits box set of Y2K-era Taco Bell. All you need is an early 2000s playlist to drive home with.

Early Access for Rewards Members

If you’re a Taco Bell Rewards member, you’ll get a head start on indulging in the Y2K lineup. The Caramel Apple Empanada rolls out early from September 2 through 8 for loyalty members, before the full release on September 9.

Everyone else will be able to grab the returning favorites after that, but the perk gives die-hard fans a little extra reason to sign up.

Drinks to Match the Throwback

The food isn’t the only update. To round out the Taco Bell Y2K Menu, the chain is highlighting three drinks worth a sip:

  • Agua Refrescas

  • Rockstar Energy Refrescas

  • Refresca Freeze (a frozen version)

These drinks are colorful, fruity, and a little flashy, which feels right at home with the Y2K aesthetic. Flavors like dragonfruit berry and mango peach will keep things feeling fresh while still playing into that over-the-top, early-2000s energy.

Why Fans Are Excited

The Taco Bell Decades Menu proves the chain knows a thing or two about nostalgia. Many of these items have been requested for years, showing just how attached fans are to the menu from that era.

The Crunchwrap Supreme, which debuted in 2005, is still one of the brand’s best-sellers today, and the return of things like the 7-Layer Burrito shows that Taco Bell is listening to their fans.

A Nostalgic Bite of the Taco Bell Menu

With the Taco Bell Nostalgia Menu making its big return, we can look forward to a playful rewind of fast-food history.

Whether you’re craving the gooey comfort of a Chili Cheese Burrito or the sweetness of a Caramel Apple Empanada, this Y2K revival has something for longtime fans and curious newcomers alike.

The only catch is that it’s a limited-time release, so you’ll want to grab your favorites while you can. The thing about nostalgia is that it tastes best when you don’t have to wait another two decades to bite into it.
