Taco Bell Just Launched a Skincare Line. No, Really.
Taco Bell said hold my Baja Blast and launched a skincare line.
At its annual Live Más Live gala on March 10, the fast food chain announced over 20 new menu items coming in 2026 — and somehow that wasn't even the wildest part of the night. Tucked inside the reveal was something nobody saw coming: Mountain Dew Baja Blast Under Eye Patches.
Yes, really.
"Infused with caffeine and a refreshing boost of citrus, these patches energize skin and deliver cooling hydration," Taco Bell's press release states. Musical artist Finneas — Billie Eilish's brother — was spotted wearing a pair in the crowd at the event, which is now streaming on Peacock through April 9.
As of March 11, Taco Bell hadn't released ingredient details, pricing, or even confirmed whether the patches would actually hit shelves for public purchase. So, for now, consider it a skincare fever dream with a Taco Bell logo on it.
But Wait — There's Actual Food Too
For everyone more interested in what's going in their mouth than on their face, the menu announcements were stacked. Here's what's coming:
On the spicy side, Taco Bell is dropping Flamin' Hot Nacho Fries loaded with spicier Flamin' Hot Nacho Cheese, plus three variations of Crispy Chicken Nuggets dusted in Diablo, Doritos Cool Ranch, and Flamin' Hot seasonings respectively. The Cool Ranch version even comes with its own dipping sauce.
The Cheesy G Sliders are new — two soft flatbreads wrapped around white corn shells, layered with mozzarella, pepperjack, and cheddar, then topped with lettuce, pico de gallo, and creamy chipotle sauce. Available with steak or chicken.
For Mexican Pizza fans, there are two new additions: a Cantina Chicken version served with Jalapeño Citrus Salsa and Avocado Verde Salsa, and bite-sized Mexican Pizza Empanadas filled with seasoned beef and a three-cheese blend.
The Firecracker Burrito might be the most unhinged item in the best possible way — a red flour tortilla packed with seasoned rice, Nacho Cheese sauce, seasoned beef, tortilla strips, chipotle sauce, sour cream, and cayenne poppin' crystals. Whatever those are, they sound like a commitment.
The Dessert Menu Is Also Going Places
Taco Bell apparently decided to go full dessert chaos this year. The lineup includes a Milk Bar Birthday Cake Empanada with pink frosting and rainbow sprinkles, a Strawberry and Cream Mexican Pizza Bite built like a cheesecake tostada, and Crème Brûlée Crunchwrap Sliders with a caramelized cinnamon sugar crust.
The Mountain Dew Baja Midnight Pie brings passionfruit flavor into dessert territory, while the Chocolate Fudge and Caramel Empanadas are already available nationwide right now if you can't wait for the rest.
On the drink side, a Strawberry Horchata Refresca and a Cold Brew with Purple Horchata Cold Foam round things out — both leaning into that cinnamon-vanilla horchata flavor profile that's been trending hard lately.
The Bottom Line
Taco Bell has never been shy about swinging for the fences but announcing skincare products at a fast food gala while also dropping 20 menu items is a new level even for them. Whether the under-eye patches ever actually make it to consumers or quietly disappear into the void of fast food gimmick history remains to be seen.
Either way — the Firecracker Burrito with poppin' crystals is real and coming your way. That alone was worth the announcement.
