October Prime Day 2025: Dates, Predictions, and Early Deals
Amazon’s next big sale is nearly here. October Prime Day 2025, officially known as Prime Big Deal Days, is set for October 7th - 8th.
The two-day event will bring discounts across categories like tech, toys, books, and home goods, all available exclusively to Prime members.
This is the fourth year in a row Amazon has run a fall Prime Day. While details are still trickling in, some early discounts are already live now, and past years give us a good idea of what to expect next.
Early Savings We Can Shop Now
Some early promotions have already rolled out, giving us a taste of what’s ahead:
Audible subscription discount for new members
Kindle e-reader and Ring Video Doorbell bundles
Amazon Luna Controller markdowns
Books, Movies, and Media Deals
Amazon confirmed some steep savings on books and other media. We should see:
Up to 65% off bestselling books
Early sales on 4K UHD movies
Buy 2, Get 1 Free promotions on Blu-rays, books, and board games
Discounts on CDs and video games
Big Names in Tech
Prime Day Apple deals are almost guaranteed to appear, even if not listed in the official preview. Based on prior years, we can probably expect:
AirPods Pro 2 and possibly AirPods Pro 3 discounts
20% off recent iPad models
Apple Watch Series 10 already on sale, with more deals likely
Up to 40% off LG TVs and gaming monitors
High-end Samsung and Sony displays, especially premium lines
Headphones and Audio Bargains
It’s likely we can also score some savings in the following categories:
Up to 45% off Bose headphones and speakers
Deals on Sony and SteelSeries products
SteelSeries Arctis Gamebuds, already at their lowest price ever
Prime Day Gaming Deals
Gamers will have plenty of options, as well, though the deepest discounts may not roll around until November:
10% to 20% off popular video game titles
Early deals on handheld PCs like the Lenovo Legion Go S and Steam Deck
Potential markdowns on older Asus Rog Ally models
Board game classics like Catan, Azul, and Ticket to Ride
Discounts on newer tabletop titles as inventory clears
Toys and Collectibles
October is a prime time for toy clearance ahead of the holidays. As we start shopping for the kiddos, we can probably expect:
Up to 30% off LEGO sets
Up to 40% off Disney, Star Wars, and Wicked toys
Pokémon plushies and Mega Pokémon sets, already discounted
LEGO Advent Calendars and Star Wars sets, already on early markdowns
Items Unlikely to Be Discounted
Sadly, not every category will shine during October Prime Day. For example, we probably won’t see:
Discounts on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, or Nintendo Switch 2
Major markdowns on new iPhones, including the iPhone 17
Deep cuts on the latest flagship Android models
To Buy Now or To Wait?
Many of us wonder whether we should shop now or wait until November. The truth is, the answer depends on the item:
October deals often match or beat Black Friday pricing
Some products, like TVs and games, may dip lower in November
Check out CamelCamelCamel and other online trackers to confirm if a deal is the lowest price of the year
October Prime Day isn’t just a warm-up anymore. It’s become a major sale in its own right, shaping how we approach holiday shopping.
With discounts across Apple devices, LEGO sets, Blu-rays, and Amazon hardware, the best early Prime Day deals can take a big bite out of your holiday gift list weeks before Black Friday.
