McDonald’s Offers Free McNugget Caviar Kits for Valentine’s Day
McDonald’s is leaning into the high-low food trend this Valentine’s Day with the launch of its first-ever McNugget Caviar kit, a limited-edition offering that pairs Chicken McNuggets with premium caviar.
The fast food chain announced it will release the kits for free on Feb. 10 as part of a partnership with Paramount Caviar. The kits will be available exclusively online and will not be sold in restaurants.
“To be known is to be loved, and we know our fans love pairing our crispy Chicken McNuggets with their favorite caviar,” McDonald’s said in a press release. “Inspired by this perfect match, we're dropping our first-ever McNugget Caviar kits featuring premium Baerii Sturgeon caviar on Feb. 10, exclusively available online.”
The company framed the release as a playful Valentine’s Day gesture, adding, “After all, nothing says ‘ILY’ quite like a limited drop from McDonald’s just in time for your Valentine’s Day plans.”
Riding the High-Low Food Trend
The McNugget Caviar kit is the latest example of a trend that has blurred the line between luxury dining and fast food. The concept gained traction on social media after chef Simon Kim popularized the pairing at his New York restaurant COQODAQ, where chicken nuggets topped with caviar became a viral sensation.
McDonald’s version uses Baerii Sturgeon caviar supplied by Paramount Caviar, bringing the indulgent pairing into a mass-market context while maintaining the novelty that made the trend popular online.
What’s Included in the Kit
Each McNugget Caviar kit includes a one-ounce tin of Baerii Sturgeon caviar branded as McNugget Caviar, along with a $25 Arch Card that can be used to purchase Chicken McNuggets at McDonald’s locations.
The kits also come with crème fraîche and a Mother of Pearl caviar spoon, allowing recipients to recreate the pairing at home with traditional caviar service.
“What makes this pairing so iconic? The crispy, golden goodness of our signature McNuggets and the salty, savory, black pearls of Paramount's Baerii Sturgeon caviar make for a true match made in heaven for the special occasions in life,” McDonald’s said in the release.
How to Get a McNugget Caviar Kit
McDonald’s said a limited supply of the kits will be released on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 11 a.m. ET. The drop will be available exclusively online through McNuggetCaviar.com, a dedicated website created for the promotion.
Kits will not be available for purchase in McDonald’s restaurants, and the company has not said how many kits will be offered. As with previous limited releases from the brand, availability is expected to be extremely limited.
The kits are being offered for free, though McDonald’s has not detailed whether shipping fees may apply or how recipients will be selected once the drop goes live.

The McNugget Caviar launch continues McDonald’s recent strategy of limited-edition drops designed to generate buzz beyond its traditional menu offerings.
