Kids' Products and Toys Recalled Ahead of Christmas

Thousands of kids' toys, water bottles, and bedding products sold by Amazon, Shein, and other retailers got recalled for serious safety risks. Perfect timing—right as Christmas shopping arrives.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission reported the recalls on December 4. Products sold online mostly throughout 2025 failed to meet U.S. safety standards for battery, magnet, and safe sleep regulations.

Here's a list of things that got recalled to check before you finish shopping.

HydroJug Kids' Water Bottles

About 17,000 HydroJug kids' water bottles recalled for choking hazard. The 14-ounce Children's Sport Tumbler bottles come in patterns Cowgirl, Sports, Daisy Checkers, Dinosaur, and Bows. Rivets on the handle can come loose and cause the handle to detach.

More than 650 reports of rivets coming loose. No injuries reported yet.

The bottles have serial number 235010 or no serial number on the bottom under the rubber boot. Sold at Academy Sports, Scheels, and online at Hydrojug.com, Amazon.com, Well.ca, and iHerb.com from May through June 2025 for about $25.

KTEBO Writing Tablets

Roughly 10,380 KTEBO kids' tablets recalled for battery safety issues that could cause serious injury or death.

Button batteries are exceptionally dangerous. Kids and pets can ingest them and suffer internal chemical burns and death. The KTEBO Writing Tablet Toys have screws that may come loose, exposing button batteries.

Sold in sets of two in four color variations and two sizes with matching stylus. Sold on Amazon.com from September through October 2025 for $8 to $30.

Crayola CreateOn pip-Cubes

About 9,400 Crayola-branded magnetic building cubes recalled for ingestion risk that can cause serious injury or death.

High-powered magnets on the small blocks may become loose. If swallowed, they can attach to each other inside the body and get lodged in the digestive system. Causes perforations, twisting and blockage of intestines, blood poisoning, and death.

Sold in Bold Colors and Glitter in sets of 24 or 27 cubes. Bold Colors are red, green, blue, and yellow. Glitter cubes are purple, pink, blue, and green with glitter.

The 24-piece sets sold at Michael's for about $20. The 27-piece sets sold on Amazon.com for about $35 from May to July 2025.

Cubimana Building Toy Sets from Shein

About 40 toy building sets sold on Shein recalled for battery safety violations.

The Cubimana Treehouse Building Toy Sets have a battery compartment with button cell batteries easily accessed by children. If ingested, they cause serious injuries, internal chemical burns, and death.

The sets have 618 multi-colored pieces to build a three-tier treehouse that lights up. Sold on Shein.com from July through October 2025 for about $20.

If you have this item: Stop using them. Take them from children, remove and dispose of batteries. Throw away the LED light piece with the battery compartment and send a photo of it in the trash to shein.us@vatostoys.com for a full refund.

TooyBing Montessori Toys from Shein

The CPSC issued a warning for another Shein toy—no official recall yet. Stop using TooyBing Wooden Toys Montessori wooden bead toys immediately. They pose a deadly choking hazard. The toys violate the small parts ban and they shouldn't be used for children under three.

Sold on Shein.com from July through September 2025 for about $20.

If you have this item: Dispose of the toys immediately. Report incidents to CPSC at SaferProducts.gov.

Little Pea Shop Crib Bumpers

About 300 Little Pea Shop crib bumpers recalled for suffocation and death risk.

The bumpers violate the federal ban on padded crib bumpers through the Safe Sleep for Babies Act. They can obstruct an infant's breathing, causing serious injury or death.

Two styles recalled: "Waffle Bedding Accessory" bumper pads in gray, pink, blue, and white, and "Plush Crib Bumper" vertical slat covers with Velcro in beige and ivory shaped like bears, rabbits, or stars.

Sold at littlepeashop.com from October 2023 through October 2025 for $30 to $80.

If you have this item: Stop using them. Contact Little Pea Shop at support@littlepeashop.com for a full refund. You'll have to cut the padding and email a photo of the destroyed bumpers.

This isn't fearmongering. This is stuff that actually hurts kids. Check the recall list before you give gifts; it takes five minutes and could save a life.
