If you’ve ever walked past a Crumbl location and eyed the rotating cookie display, here’s something new to add to your dessert radar.

The viral bakery chain has publicly acknowledged that it’s begun Crumbl doughnut testing. This will become part of a broader menu packed with sweet treats beyond its signature cookies.

The news also comes as the company updates its core lineup and thoughts about where desserts go next.

What Crumbl Has Confirmed

After rumors began swirling online, first from food-centric social posts teasing images of doughnuts in a dozen flavors, Crumbl responded with a clear statement this month.

A spokesperson for the Lindon, Utah-based company said Crumbl is “excited to be testing doughnuts as part of the ongoing product innovation process.”

That doesn’t mean the glazed goodness will be on shelves tomorrow. The company emphasized that the process is still in the early stages, and any official move to add doughnuts would be quite some time away.

Crumbl said it wants to make sure that any new dessert meets the experience and quality standards their customers have come to expect.

That statement puts to rest some of the doughnut rumors that Crumbl enthusiasts have been sharing online, including mock-ups of flavors like:

  • Cookie Butter

  • S’mores

  • Raspberry Cheesecake

  • Cinnamon Crunch

While fun to imagine, Crumbl says nothing has been finalized yet.

How the Core Menu Is Changing

While doughnuts are still on the horizon, Crumbl hasn’t paused its current menu evolution.

This year, the chain made changes to its weekly rotating offerings, trimming down how many items rotate and introducing what it calls “Classic Flavors” that will be consistently available.

That shift is part of an ongoing effort to balance novelty with reliability.

Fans are reacting in mixed ways, with some welcoming the staples they can count on and others missing the variety of previous rotations.

What Fans Are Saying

Across social networks, reactions to the potential of doughnuts and the menu revisions vary.

Some fans are thrilled at the idea of Crumbl entering the doughnut space, imagining the company’s playful flavor twists and weekly rotation applied to a new format.

Others are more cautious, noting that cookies have always been the brand’s bread and butter.

For now, though, the message from Crumbl is clear: doughnuts are being looked at seriously, but only after lots of testing, feedback, and operational planning.

A Sweet Future That’s Still Taking Shape

For most Crumbl lovers, this feels like a teaser, the bakery equivalent of spotting a chef peeking into a new recipe. The company’s focus on innovation means that fans will have plenty to talk about, even while the core cookie experience remains front and center.

Whether Crumbl doughnuts testing turns into a full-blown menu rollout or stays in the lab for more refinement, it’s another sign of how much we love dessert culture.

And, if you’re already craving something sweet, there are plenty of classics and rotating favorites waiting for you in those iconic pink boxes.
