The missing Ohio teen was found alive on August 21st, when law enforcement arrived at Binkley's Springfield home.
According to ABC, she disappeared from Huckleberry House, a transitional living facility in Columbus, in December.
Her disappearance prompted a months-long investigation by authorities and her family.
Binkley's home had reportedly drawn police attention before the teen was eventually located there.
Officers went to the residence two other times, but Binkley told them she wasn't there and wouldn't let them in.
That changed when law enforcement returned in August.
Binkley confirmed that the teenager was there. Then, she emerged from the house.
After more than eight months, the Springfield, Ohio, missing teen was found safe.
Teacher Charged in Missing Teen Case
Binkley, 48, previously taught in the Springfield City School District.
The criminal complaint accuses him of letting the teenager remain at his residence even though he knew authorities considered her missing.
The former teacher charged in the missing teen case now faces one count of interference with custody, a first-degree misdemeanor.
Binkley has entered a not-guilty plea and is out on bond.
