Teresa Giudice's Daughter Milania Arrested on Assault Charges
Milania Giudice, the 20-year-old daughter of Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice, was arrested in New Jersey on May 14 and charged with one count of simple assault — specifically, purposely or knowingly causing bodily injury to another person.
Court records confirm the arrest and show the case is active. Milania had a court date on May 19. No plea has been publicly entered and the details of the alleged incident haven't been released.
The day of her arrest Milania posted a TikTok video posing to an audio clip that said "You are a diva. A young, beautiful diva." She has not publicly addressed the charges.
Who Milania Giudice Is
Milania is one of four daughters born to Teresa Giudice and her ex-husband Joe Giudice. Her sisters are Gia, 25, Gabriella, 22, and Audriana, 16. The family has been on RHONJ since the show's debut in 2009, when Milania was just three years old — meaning she quite literally grew up on camera.
She became a fan favorite early on, known for her outspoken personality and memorable one-liners even as a young child. As she's gotten older she's maintained a presence on social media and has attended fashion events and remained in the public eye as a young adult.
The Family's History With Legal Trouble
This isn't the first time the Giudice family name has appeared in a court filing — not by a long shot.
Teresa and Joe Giudice's legal troubles dominated RHONJ storylines for years and ultimately resulted in federal convictions. In March 2014 the couple pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and three counts of bankruptcy fraud after racking up $5 million in fraudulent mortgages and construction loans. Joe also pleaded guilty to failing to file a 2004 federal tax return.
Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in federal prison and served 11 of them, reporting in January 2015 and returning home that December. Joe then reported to prison after her release to serve a 41-month sentence.
The story didn't end there. Joe Giudice had moved to the United States as an infant but never applied for citizenship, remaining a lawful permanent resident. Because of his felony convictions his green card status was revoked and he was deported to Italy upon his release from prison in 2019 — a devastating consequence the family processed publicly on camera and off. He now lives in the Bahamas, where Milania and her sisters have visited him.
Teresa has since remarried. The show has continued. The family drama has never really stopped.
What Simple Assault Means in New Jersey
In New Jersey simple assault is a disorderly persons offense — the lowest tier of criminal charge in the state, roughly equivalent to a misdemeanor in other states. A conviction carries a maximum penalty of six months in jail and up to a $1,000 fine, though first-time offenders without serious criminal history typically face far lighter consequences including fines, probation, or mandatory anger management.
It's not a felony. It's not the kind of charge that ends careers or results in serious prison time in the vast majority of cases. But it is a criminal charge and the case is active — meaning it still needs to be resolved either through a plea, a dismissal, or a trial.
No attorney for Milania has been publicly identified and no statement has been made on her behalf. The details of what allegedly happened remain unknown.
