Spotify Subscribers Just Got Access to Peloton Classes and New Wellness Content

Most of us logged into Spotify this week, expecting our usual playlists and podcasts.

Instead, we stumbled upon workout videos, yoga instructors, guided stretching sessions, and Peloton content that was quietly added to the app.

The new rollout comes through a Spotify and Peloton partnership that’s expanding Spotify’s content library beyond music, audiobooks, and podcasts.

And, actually, this is a very logical addition since many of us already use Spotify as our unofficial workout companion.

Spotify Free Workout Classes Include More Than Peloton

The new fitness section includes a mix of Spotify free workout classes, including:

  • Cardio and strength training

  • Yoga

  • Meditation

  • Stretching

  • Pilates

Spotify also teamed up with several fitness creators and wellness instructors beyond Peloton.

So, when we’re scrolling through the app, we may run into guided workouts along with our usual playlists and podcasts.

Some of the content is available to everyone, while Premium subscribers will enjoy expanded access to additional features and videos.

Peloton Classes on Spotify Are Getting the Most Attention

Out of all the new additions, the arrival of Peloton classes on Spotify is getting the biggest reaction online.

And that makes perfect sense, too.

Peloton workouts have always leaned heavily on music and energy, and most of us already open Spotify before a workout without even thinking about it.

This just cuts out the part where we hop between three different apps while trying to convince ourselves that today is the day we’ll enjoy doing burpees.

Spotify Subscriber Perks Keep Growing

In the last few years, Spotify has quietly expanded beyond music streaming.

Currently, the platform includes:

  • Podcasts

  • Audiobooks

  • AI-generated playlists

  • DJ-style features

And, now, we can enjoy a growing collection of wellness content.

These newer Spotify subscriber perks are becoming a much bigger part of how the company keeps us engaged on the app.

This is also coming at a good time because, lately, subscription prices seem to keep creeping up, so we’re all paying closer attention to what’s included in our memberships.

Why Spotify Fitness Content Fits So Naturally

The interesting thing about this rollout is that it doesn’t feel random or forced. Spotify fitness content fits naturally into the routines we already have.

Music and workouts have always gone together. And most of us already have at least one playlist built for the days when we need to push ourselves in our workouts.

And, since an upbeat playlist and a Pilates instructor inside the same app makes getting through a workout slightly less painful, it seems Spotify knows exactly what it’s doing.
