‘Showgirl’ Release Party: Taylor Swift Hits Theaters Oct. 3–5

Taylor Swift Returning to Theaters With ‘Official Release Party of a Showgirl’ Film

Swifties, mark your calendars: Taylor Swift is headed back to the big screen this fall.

Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl” will premiere in theaters on October 3, the same day her highly anticipated new album, The Life of a Showgirl, drops. The special event will run through October 5 at major theater chains including AMC, Cinemark, and Regal, with tickets available via Fandango.

The 89-minute theatrical experience will feature:

  • The world premiere of the music video for “The Fate of Ophelia” — the album’s lead single.

  • Behind-the-scenes footage from the video shoot.

  • Lyric videos for tracks on the album.

  • Exclusive personal reflections from Swift about the making of her 12th studio album.

Tickets are priced at $12 before fees and will go on sale starting at 12:12 p.m. ET, a nod to Swift’s recurring number symbolism.

Fans can also expect a concert-like vibe in theaters. AMC has confirmed audiences are welcome to sing and dance during the screenings — though standing on seats and blocking aisles is off-limits.

The release party will launch simultaneously across U.S. time zones at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT on October 3. International screenings are also planned in over 100 countries, with some territories debuting the event the same weekend as the U.S.

Swift’s last film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, broke records as the highest-grossing concert film in history with over $262 million worldwide. While Showgirl won’t run as long in theaters, it’s expected to deliver another box office boost and offer fans a unique first listen to her next chapter.

As Swift teased online: “Cut by cut explanations of what inspired this music. Dancing is optional but very much encouraged.”
