North West's First Headlining Tour Canceled Days Before It Was Set to Start
North West's debut as a headlining artist isn't happening — at least not on the schedule fans were expecting.
The 13-year-old was set to hit the road alongside rapper Molly Santana for the Kimokawaii Tour, kicking off August 5 in Dallas. Instead, that show and the following Toronto date on August 17 are now both marked "canceled" on Ticketmaster, and the tour's official website has been taken down entirely. One date does appear to still be standing — an August 25 show at San Francisco's The Midway remains listed on the venue's own site, at least for now.
Representatives for both North and Santana, 21, have not yet responded to requests for comment on why the tour was pulled.
A Big Year For North, Up Until Now
The cancellation lands at what's otherwise been a genuinely big year for North. She released her debut EP, "N0rth4evr," back in May — a milestone her extended family celebrated publicly, with relatives including her uncle Rob Kardashian, aunt Khloé Kardashian, and grandmother Kris Jenner all sharing clips of themselves listening to the new music on their Instagram Stories.
North is the daughter of rapper Ye and reality star Kim Kardashian, and she's been steadily building a public music career over the past couple of years. She made her festival debut at Rolling Loud in Miami back in May, performing alongside Santana shortly after the EP dropped — a moment that made this canceled tour feel like a natural next step for the two of them.
The Music Itself Has Sparked Its Own Conversations
North's lead single, "Piercing On My Hand," released in February, directly addressed public chatter around her dermal piercings — something that had already drawn attention online before the song even came out. In the track, she raps about her piercings alongside candid lines about not needing outside approval, touching on themes of confidence and pushing back against critics who've called her too mainstream.
She's also picked up notable collaborators along the way. In 2025, she featured on FKA Twigs' song "Childlike Things," off the album Eusexua. Santana, her would-be tour partner, has her own recent high-profile credit too, appearing on Drake's song "Ran to Atlanta" alongside Future.
What's Next
For now, it's unclear whether the Dallas and Toronto shows will be rescheduled, replaced, or simply dropped from the tour altogether — and whether the San Francisco date will hold as the tour's sole stop remains to be seen as well.
