Kylie Jenner has officially stepped into the music world. On October 13, the beauty mogul released “Fourth Strike,” a collaboration with pop duo Terror Jr. that marks her debut as a featured vocalist.

The single acts as a sequel to Terror Jr.’s 2016 track “3 Strikes,” which was widely associated with Jenner at the time — including via a Kylie Cosmetics campaign— though she consistently denied having contributed vocals. On Instagram, Jenner addressed the decade-old rumor directly: “there was a little rumor 10 years ago that i was the one actually singing on 3 strikes! it wasn’t me (wish it was) so i had the idea to come together for fourth strike and it would actually be ME FEATURED!”

In “Fourth Strike,” Jenner claims a portion of the bridge, delivering sultry, whispered vocals. Her lyric contribution includes:

One strike, two strike, let me get the mood right. Do it on purpose just to see how it ends.

She closes her part by softly whispering, “King Kylie.”

The track leans into a moody electro-pop production, with ambient synths and a sensual, minimalist beat. The release also coincides with a revival of her King Kylie identity. That persona—defined by bold glam, edgy fashion, and strong social media presence—was central in her mid-2010s branding. Jenner is launching a new collection under that same aesthetic on October 18, tying her music, style, and business ventures together.

And music isn’t the only new chapter for Jenner. She is also set to make her acting debut in Charli XCX’s upcoming film The Moment, joining a cast that includes Rosanna Arquette, Kate Berlant, Rachel Sennott, and Alexander Skarsgård. Jenner has reportedly long expressed interest in acting, which was even teased in a past episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

The public reaction to Jenner’s musical debut has been mixed. Fans and media outlets praised her bold pivot and the nostalgic revival of “King Kylie,” noting that the collaboration feels like a full-circle moment. Others raised questions about her vocal performance and use of production tools like autotune.

Regardless of the response, “Fourth Strike” has undeniably stirred conversation. It positions Jenner not merely as a celebrity branching into music, but as someone insisting on authenticity in her reinvention — one in which she steps forward to claim the vocal spotlight she once only flirted with in rumor.

Time will tell whether “Fourth Strike” launches a sustained music career — but it certainly makes for an ambitious start.
