Frankie Valli is stepping off the road.

The Four Seasons frontman announced Friday, May 29, that he is canceling all remaining 2026 concert dates on The Last Encores farewell tour to focus on his health. He is 92 years old.

"I'm so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows, but I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health," Valli wrote on Instagram. "I'm looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your good wishes."

He did not specify the nature of his health concerns.

Eight Shows Canceled — No More Rescheduling

The cancellation affects eight remaining performances, including scheduled stops in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Detroit, Michigan. Several dates had already been postponed from April to later in the year before being canceled altogether. Valli's last performance took place Feb. 22 at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, California.

His longtime representative, Victoria Varela, told Variety that the decision to cancel outright rather than postpone again was made specifically with ticket holders in mind.

"Promoters want to prolong things and not give people their money back," Varela said, "but he needs to not keep rescheduling these shows." Ticket holders are expected to receive refunds through their point of purchase.

Valli hopes to spend the next six months focusing on his health and is expected to evaluate whether a return to performing in 2027 is possible.

A Farewell Tour With a Long Run

The Last Encores began in October 2023 and had been extended multiple times, with dates originally scheduled through October 2026. It was always understood as a final run — Valli has been the only original Four Seasons member still performing — but the cancellation of the remaining dates brings the tour to a close earlier than planned.

Valli celebrated his 92nd birthday on May 3, just weeks before the announcement. Despite his age, he had remained committed to performing through multiple health questions raised publicly in 2024, when videos from some of his shows circulated online with fans expressing concern. At the time, Valli pushed back directly.

"I am blessed to be 90 years old and still be doing what I love to do," he said in a September 2024 statement. "And as long as I am able, and audiences want to come see me, I am going to be out there performing as I always have. I absolutely love what I do."

A Career That Defined an Era

Valli and The Four Seasons became one of the defining pop acts of the 1960s. Their run of hits — "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man," "Rag Doll," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You," and "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" — spans decades and remains embedded in American popular culture.

The Four Seasons were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. Valli received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award earlier this year. His story was dramatized in Jersey Boys, which ran on Broadway from 2005 to 2017 and was adapted into a film directed by Clint Eastwood in 2014.

Valli has toured longer and later into life than almost any performer of his generation. Whether The Last Encores ultimately lives up to its name remains to be seen — but for now, at 92, he is putting his health first.
