Recently, Madison Square Garden was hosting its first NBA Finals game since 1999.

The Knicks and Spurs were on the court. But, depending on where you were sitting, the action in the front row may have been just as interesting.

Game 3 brought out a packed house of actors, comedians, musicians, athletes, and lifelong Knicks superfans, turning celebrity row at MSG in 2026 into one of the most star-studded scenes of the year.

The Knicks ultimately fell 115-111, but there was no shortage of famous faces in attendance.

Every Celebrity at Knicks-Spurs Game 3 at MSG

The biggest name in the building may have been Timothée Chalamet.

In fact, some of his fans would call it the Timothée Chalamet Knicks game.

He’s become one of the Knicks' most recognizable celebrity supporters and, once again, took his courtside seat for the experience we’ve come to expect throughout the postseason.

This time, he arrived in a bright orange outfit that was impossible to miss.

But, he wasn't alone.

Other celebrities spotted at the game included:

  • Jay-Z

  • Ben Stiller

  • Spike Lee

  • Tracy Morgan

  • Chris Rock

  • Jon Stewart

  • Larry David

  • Tina Fey

  • Alex Rodriguez

  • Derek Jeter

  • Eli Manning

  • Patrick Ewing

  • Jeremy Lin

  • John McEnroe

  • Mariska Hargitay

  • Christopher Meloni

  • Draymond Green

Several of those names have become regulars throughout the Knicks' playoff run, and others made special appearances for the team's first Finals game at MSG in nearly three decades.

Why Celebrity Row Matters Almost as Much as the Game

Part of what makes Madison Square Garden so unique is that celebrity attendance isn't unusual.

What changed during the Finals is the scale.

The Madison Square Garden NBA Finals’ stars list covered entertainment, sports, television, music, and comedy.

Even casual viewers watching from home could spot familiar faces every few minutes.

For most of us, celebrity spotting has become part of the playoff experience.

And, this time, the cameras cut to reactions after big shots, controversial calls, and momentum swings almost as often as they showed the coaches, making it part of the entertainment.

NBA Finals 2026: The Knicks Still Own the Coolest Ticket in Town

Even though the Spurs spoiled the party with a Game 3 victory, the atmosphere inside Madison Square Garden was electric.

The combination of a historic Finals appearance, a passionate fan base, and an endless stream of celebrities created the kind of scene New York sports fans have been waiting decades to see.

With the series still unfolding, there's a good chance the Knicks-Spurs Game 3 celebrity row won't be the last famous gathering we'll see at Madison Square Garden this month.
