In the latest twist in the Blake Lively lawsuit, things just got a whole lot messier – and even more public.

What began as a serious legal battle over alleged harassment and retaliation on the set of It Ends With Us has now spiraled into full-blown celebrity legal drama, dragging Taylor Swift into the mix, thanks to a subpoena from Justin Baldoni’s team. And Lively’s rep is calling foul.

Blake Lively Labels Justin Baldoni a 'Bully' Over Swift Subpoena

Yes, you read that right – Taylor Swift has been subpoenaed. Baldoni, who is locked in a countersuit with his It Ends With Us co-star, Blake Lively, has brought Swift into the fray, citing her supposed influence over Lively and the film.

According to Justin Baldoni’s countersuit, Lively once referred to Swift and her partner Ryan Reynolds as her “dragons,” implying that they had her back and weren’t afraid to bring the fire.

But, Blake’s team isn’t letting that fly. Over the weekend, her rep blasted Baldoni and his legal team for turning what they call “a case of sexual harassment and retaliation into entertainment for the tabloids.” The Taylor Swift subpoena, in their eyes, is nothing more than a sideshow – and an attack on women's rights in Hollywood.

The Bigger Picture: Women’s Rights and Reputations at Stake

In a sharp statement, Lively’s spokesperson slammed the decision to drag Swift into court, calling her “a woman who has given a voice to millions the world over.” They accused Baldoni and his Wayfarer Studios co-founder of using tabloid tactics to distract from the heart of the case.

Even more eyebrow-raising? Baldoni’s lawyer reportedly suggested Lively could give her deposition at Madison Square Garden.

According to Lively’s camp, this isn’t just an attempt to deflect – it’s a calculated move to intimidate, bully, and shame the women involved.

They also took aim at the legal team’s recent push to strike down a California victims’ rights law as “unconstitutional,” framing it as yet another blow to protections for women.

Where Does Swift Stand?

Swift’s team quickly responded to the subpoena, making it crystal clear that she had zero involvement in It Ends With Us. According to her rep, she never visited the set, wasn’t involved in any creative decisions, and only saw the film weeks after its public release – likely while she was globe-trotting on her record-breaking Eras Tour.

So, why was she dragged into it at all? That’s the question many are asking, especially considering the friendship between Lively and Swift, which may be under strain now.

Earlier this year, rumors swirled that Travis Kelce unfollowed Ryan Reynolds due to the ongoing tension. Whether that’s petty social media drama or part of something bigger is anyone’s guess, but the fallout seems to be spreading beyond just the courtroom.

A Barnum & Bailey’s Circus

The Blake Lively lawsuit isn’t just about who said what or which A-lister texted whom. At its core, the It Ends With Us legal battle paints a disturbing picture: a workplace where inappropriate comments were made, boundaries were crossed, and a woman who spoke out was allegedly smeared in return.

Or, is that the case? Baldoni, for his part, has denied all allegations and claims he’s the one being defamed.

Still, Lively’s team is pushing back hard against what they see as an attempt to use Swift’s star power as a distraction. “This is a very serious legal matter,” her rep said. “Not Barnum & Bailey’s Circus.” As the March 2026 trial date creeps closer, it’s clear that neither side is backing down.

In the meantime, this celebrity legal drama continues to unfold in real time, with reputations, rights, and friendships all hanging in the balance. One thing’s for certain, though: the Blake Lively lawsuit is no longer just about two co-stars. It’s become a flashpoint in the larger fight over women’s rights in Hollywood.
