All You Need To Know About the Turning Point USA Halftime Show
Turning Point USA is hosting its own halftime show on February 8 to counter Bad Bunny's Super Bowl performance. Kid Rock is headlining.
The conservative group announced back in October 2025 it would host the All-American Halftime Show in opposition to Super Bowl LX. The announcement came right after Bad Bunny was revealed as the official Super Bowl Halftime Show performer.
Days before the 2026 Super Bowl, Turning Point USA shared the lineup on February 2. Four artists for what they're calling a "family-friendly, values-driven" event "created for viewers seeking uplifting, patriotic entertainment."
Kid Rock leads the lineup. Country singers Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and Gabby Barrett join him.
Why They're Doing This
The All-American Halftime Show is Turning Point USA's alternative to the official Super Bowl show. The event website says it will celebrate "faith, family, & freedom."
"It's true, Turning Point USA is thrilled to announce The All American Halftime Show," the group posted on X in October 2025.
News of the counter-programming came after Bad Bunny was named the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show performer, which sparked backlash from conservatives, including President Donald Trump.
"I'm anti-them. I think it's a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible," Trump told the New York Post about Bad Bunny and Green Day, who's kicking off the opening ceremony.
Bad Bunny is a Grammy-winning reggaeton rapper from Puerto Rico who performs in Spanish. He's called out the Trump administration's immigration policies, including taking a stance against recent ICE operations by choosing not to stop in the U.S. during his ongoing world tour.
Green Day has also been vocal against Trump. In January 2024, Billie Joe Armstrong and his bandmates changed the lyrics to "American Idiot" to say they weren't part of the "MAGA agenda."
The Official Reason
Turning Point USA spokesman Andrew Kolvet said in a statement, "We set out to provide an entertainment option that will be fun, excellent, and exciting for the entire family while millions are gathered together for the big game. These performers will deliver exactly that, and we can't wait to watch the incredible show they're about to put on. We know millions around the country will be watching too."
So they're positioning it as family-friendly counter-programming to Bad Bunny, who they apparently think isn't family-friendly enough.

Kid Rock is headlining. He's been a vocal Trump supporter for years. Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert, and Gabby Barrett round out the lineup. All country artists.

The All-American Halftime Show starts around 8 p.m. ET on February 8. Same time as the official NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show. Coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on Trinity Broadcasting Network.
