"All That" Star Kianna Underwood Dead at 33 After Hit-and-Run in NYC

Kianna Underwood's hit-and-run death has shocked fans and law enforcement after the former child star was killed in a Brooklyn, New York hit-and-run early on January 16th. She was just 33 years old. 

A Morning Turned Tragic

The All That star died in NYC after a Brooklyn Brownsville hit-and-run incident that occurred around 6:40 a.m. local time. Kianna was attempting to cross an intersection when she was struck by a black Ford SUV. 

Surveillance footage released by the NYPD shows the vehicle dragging her for nearly a block before her body came free in the roadway. Then, a second vehicle struck her before both drivers fled the scene. Neither person been apprehended so far.

Police seized one of the vehicles believed to be involved and took it for forensic examination, though they haven’t arrested anyone and have said there isn’t enough evidence to tie the owner to the wheel at the time. 

Who Kianna Underwood Was

Kianna first found fame as a young actress in All That, appearing in the show’s 10th season in 2004 - 2005, as well as several episodes of Little Bill, where she voiced Fuchsia Glover.

Her credits also include roles in films like The 24 Hour Woman and Death of a Dynasty, and a national touring stage production of Hairspray. Fans know her from those upbeat performances during childhood and teen years.

In more recent years, Kianna faced personal challenges, including struggles with homelessness. Former All That castmate Angelique Bates publicly raised concerns about her well-being in 2023, pleading for help on social media. 

What Happened and What’s Next

According to the NYPD, Underwood was crossing Watkins Street and Pitkin Avenue when she was struck near the intersection. First, she was hit by a black Ford SUV. Then, she was hit by a black-gray sedan. Both vehicles fled the scene immediately, and no arrests have been made as of the latest reporting. 

Officers with the Highway District Collision Investigation Squad are leading the NYPD hit-and-run investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are asking anyone with tips or video footage to come forward to help them identify the drivers involved.
